The company named ALANQA will design, manufacture and sell the vehicles in the country as well as export them to other regional markets.
The prototypes of the vehicles have already been designed, and which will be unveiled at the Dubai International Auto Show starting December 15.
The manufacturing of the vehicle will begin in six months time at a facility in Abu Dhabi’s Mussafah Industrial Estate, said Khalfan Al Shamsi, Head of Advanced Integrated Systems, at a Press conference in the capital.
Advance Integrated System or AIS, is a capital based company that is involved in providing state of the art technology to the industrial sector.
The research and development of the four different vehicles for commercial, military and civil uses, cost the company $8 million investment. “The plan is to manufacture 300 vehicles annually,” he said.
Giving details about the vehicles, Al Shamsi said several models have been designed for the use by the military and special forces. “The V-Guard is a fast Attack Vehicle, which can carry up to eight passengers with personal gear and equipments and it capable of operating in any climate or on any driving terrain,” he said.
Fitted with 395 hp engine and six speed automatic transmission, it is designed and proven to handle any mission, he said.
The Boomerang, another vehicle developed by the company boasts superior performance and mobility while the Baby Boomerang is especially suited for intelligence units, says a press release issued at the press conference.
The third vehicle developed by the firm is called BodyGuard which is said to versatile and fast vehicle with 635 HP engine.
