“Our agreement with Fränkische Rohrwerke is an important step in our progress as an Abu Dhabi-based group seeking an entry into the infrastructure industry,” Abdulla Al Masaood, Deputy Chairman of Abdulla Al Masaood & Sons, said on Sunday.

“We have a number of projects in our long-term plan to support the economy of Abu Dhabi through value added partnerships within the infrastructure industry by cooperating with entities from Europe and the rest of the world.”

“In addition to fostering cooperation between the two entities, the agreement will enhance exchange in expertise and technology regarding the corrugated plastic pipes industry.“

A relatively new market to Abu Dhabi, Abdulla Al Masaood & Sons will be introducing the technology to the emirate, which is expected to have a huge potential for growth over the long run.

The two-pronged agreement entails the implementation of the partnership in Abu Dhabi over two phases: the first phase will include a focus on sales and marketing activities, while the second will involve the building and operation of a corrugated plastic pipes factory in Abu Dhabi. “We believe in exploring new ideas and sectors, and encourage the establishment of new businesses in Abu Dhabi, in line with the strategic priorities of our Board members and the Abu Dhabi vision 2030,” Al Masaood said.

Furthermore, importing proven and tested technologies for the manufacturing of corrugated plastic pipes paves the way for progress and development in the emirate, he added.
