As per the MoU, Emaar Misr for Development S.A.E, the wholly owned subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC will develop and manage the project to be built on a site of 2.2 million sq metres of land, and also undertake the management of the City after completion.
His Highness Shaikh Khalifa has sanctioned a grant of $100 million to construct this social project and the land for it will be provided by the Egyptian Government. Emaar Misr will manage the project development under the supervision of Abu Dhabi Municipality. Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed City is being developed in association with the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development, and will adhere to the developmental norms set by the Egyptian government.
