Abu Dhabi Ports appoints new CEO
ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Ports Company on Sunday has appointed Tony Douglas as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Douglas was the former Chief Operating Officer and Group Chief Executive designate of Laing O’Rourke, the UK’s leading privately-owned international construction solutions company
He was also a previous Chief Executive of Heathrow Airport in London.
Douglas will steer the development of the company’s extensive portfolio of projects, including the flagship Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone.
Chairman Dr Sultan Ahmed Al- aber acknowledged the work of previous management for their contributions to the company.
Douglas said that he is joining at a time when the company is taking centre stage in the diversification of Abu Dhabi’s economy.
