ACFE launches UAE chapter

DUBAI — The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the world’s largest provider of Anti-Fraud Training & Education, has announced the official formation of the UAE, ACFE Chapter, serving members throughout the UAE and surrounding communities.

The local ACFE membership has elected Tania Fabiani as President of the UAE Chapter.

Tania is the Head of Antifraud Program at the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) in an official independent body mandated to oversee transparency and accountability across the government. Tania has worked for 15 years on Forensic assignments worldwide.

The chapter’s board members also include Simon Padgett, Group Risk & Internal Audit Manager, Al Fahim Group; Ahmed Al Ansari, Director – Audit & Risk Assessment Group, Dubai Aviation City Corporation; Adnan Zaidi, Managing Director, Protiviti (Middle East) Ltd; Amr Elhansi, Associate Director, Internal Audit, Emaar Industries & Investments (Pvt) JSC; Karem Obeid, Group Audit Director, Dubai Holding; Rebecca Barnes, Senior Team Leader, Antifraud Program, Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority.
