Under the contract, Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies, the Middle East’s foremost independent MRO provider, will be responsible for all of Silver Air’s Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) and Engineering requirements, providing a ‘total care solution’ for the company’s trio of Boeing 737-200 and one 737-300 aircraft.
During aircraft purchase selection, ADAT played key role in assessing the aircraft as well as review of the documents and paperwork. The signing of this contract further strengthens Silver Air’s objective to be a leading ACMI carrier in the Gulf region.
Under the agreement, ADAT has also provided Silver Air, the Dubai-based ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance & Insurance) air carrier, with a full Continuing Airworthiness Survey Report in support of its application for Certificate of Airworthiness.
“Through this agreement, we will provide Silver Air with the right MRO support and fast aircraft turn around times to help the company realise its ambitious growth programme. The addition of Silver Air to our expanding portfolio adds weight to Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies’ determination to be the region’s MRO partner of choice,” said John Byers, CEO - Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies.
With the company’s fleet expected to swell to 10 aircraft by 2010, the agreement will also cover all future Silver Air acquisitions, which include further 737-300 and -400 purchases.
