The features of the payment products will be revealed at the time of their launch sometime at the end of the second quarter, top executives of the two firms said on Monday.

The Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Ala’a Eraiqat, and the Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, James Hogan, signed an agreement to launch the co-branded credit and debit cards.

Arup Mukhopadhyay, Head of Consumer Banking, said that his bank’s consumer banking business have doubled in the past five years, assets of consumer banking have tripled, while the credit card business’ market share also doubled.

“In absolute terms, the card number grew 10 times in the same period,” he said.
