American Community School of Sharjah Host Formal Launching Event

SHARJAH - The American Community School of Sharjah (ACS Sharjah) recently hosting its formal launch event at the Holiday International Hotel in Sharjah.

ACS Sharjah is located on Maliha Road, Sharjah, UAE, near the Sharjah University complex. ACS Sharjah will begin its first phase in September, 2009 catering to students from Nursery to Grade 4, eventually growing to Grade 12.

The 1.4 million square ft campus, the largest of its kind in the MENASA region, will encompass truly modern facilities that will provide students with a wealth of intellectual and physical resources to develop and strive towards academic, athletic and social excellence.

ACS Sharjah is partnered with ACS at Beirut, a school that holds a great reputation as a high quality learning institution, a reputation borne from over 100 years of educational history and experience

ACS Sharjah will offer an American curriculum from it’s opening in September, 2009 and intends to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma, pending approval. Complementing this will be the POLARIS Programme for gifted, ESL and special needs children. This programme has been set up in response to the increasing demand for gifted and special needs assistance throughout the UAE. Students will be provided with the resources to nurture their gifts and augment their talents.

ACS Sharjah is seeking accreditation from The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and the International Baccalaureate Organisation.
