Bahrain to Hold Seminar on Insurance Sector
MANAMA — Bahrain will host a seminar on the challenges faced by the regional insurance sector, as result of the recession, next month. ‘Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Governance: Present Challenges and the Financial Crisis’ is the theme of the seminar that is being organised by the Bahrain Insurance Association or BIA.
It is open to all insurance sector representatives in the Arab World. The seminar will be held in association with the General Arab Insurance Federation or GAIF, and under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain, at the Golden Tulip Hotel
in Manama.
“Due to the seminar format, which facilitates both the exchange of information and ideas, and optimal networking opportunities, we expect the ‘Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Governance: Present Challenges and the Financial Crisis’ to draw a large pool of participants representing mid to top-level management in the regional financial sector, insurance and reinsurance sector,” Bahrain Insurance Association’s Chairman Ashraf Bseisu said in a statement on Saturday.
He said that the seminar’s topics had been carefully selected to ensure expediency in light of global economic market conditions.
