This growth augurs well for Epoc Messe Frankfurt, organisers of Intersec trade fair and conference, scheduled to take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from January 18-20, 2009, where as many as 30 companies are showcasing products related to the biometrics field.

Global biometric revenues are projected to grow from Dh11 billion in 2007 to Dh27.19 billion in 2012.

The key areas for growth include fingerprint non-AFIS biometrics followed by face recognition at and iris recognition. Asia and the Middle East in particular are expected to be the largest global markets for biometric products and services.
