CNIA Inks Dh46 Million Deals

ABU DHABI — The Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA) has announced contracts worth about Dh 46 million for purchase and deployment of facilities like surveillance systems to augment security infrastructure of the country.

CNIA has awarded $9 million (about Dh33 million) contract to ICx Technologies, a global leader in sensor and surveillance technologies with headquarters in the US, for mobile integrated surveillance systems, according to Staff Colonel Ishaq Al Beshir, director of CNIA’s operation sector.

Under the contract, ICx will provide integrated millimetre wave ground-based radar and thermal or CCTV imaging systems on mobile tactical platforms for deployment around critical infrastructure sites so as to provide a comprehensive wide area surveillance Al Beshir told reporters here on Tuesday on the sidelines of International Security National Resilience exhibition and conference or ISNR 2010 here on Tuesday.
