Dubai: Commercial Bank International (CBI) has announced that Mark Robinson has been appointed as its new chief executive officer.
Robinson has 30 years of banking experience including leading banking businesses across diverse markets. He was most recently with ANZ Banking Group where he was CEO for Europe, Middle East, and America. Prior to joining ANZ, Robinson had a long career with Citigroup, including CEO roles with responsibility for Citi businesses in South Asia, Russia/CIS, and Turkey. He also worked in the US, Hong Kong, and Pakistan.
Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi, chairman of the board of CBI, stated: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Robinson as CEO and welcome him to CBI. We trust his first-hand understanding of financial markets and services and his extensive management experience will help him build successfully on the strong foundations and growth that the bank has secured in recent years. His leadership is what CBI needs to drive the strategies that will allow us to execute our growth plans, deliver service excellence and generate attractive shareholders returns.”
