Connect Telecom to Market ThurayaIP

ABU DHABI - Thuraya, a world leading mobile satellite operator headquartered in Abu Dhabi has signed a commercial agreement with its long-standing service providers Connect Telecom appointing them as a distributor of the innovative broadband solution to international vertical markets.

Connect Telecom, a leading Dubai-based service provider, aims to promote ThurayaIP to target segments such as NGOs, corporates, government, construction industry, the vast marine sector and the media and news gathering agencies.

ThurayaIP is a cost-effective and advanced broadband solution that has a compact A-5 size and transmission speed of 444 Kbps, according to the company officials. It also has the most superior video streaming capacity in the market that functions at a speed of 384 Kbps.

“The partnership is indicative of the potential of our broadband solution that has generated immense interest among our Service Providers.

With the large subscriber base of Connect Telecom and their dealership network in the region, we are confident that ThurayaIP will reach the target markets effectively,” said Thuraya’s Chief Commercial Officer, Dr Sven Rohte.
