Based in Dubai, Armstrong reports functionally to David Livingstone, Head of M&A for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and regionally to Jeffrey Culpepper, Vice-Chairman and Head of the Investment Banking Department for the MENA region. Armstrong assumed his position on January 1.

Armstrong was previously a managing director of Credit Suisse in the Americas M&A group, based in Los Angeles.

In this role, he spearheaded the M&A business in the Western Region of the Americas. He has advised companies across a broad range of industries on strategic matters including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and hostile transactions.

He has also advised on a number of cross border US-MENA region transactions.

Bassam Yammine, Co-CEO of the Middle East and Head of Investment Banking and Asset Management Divisions in the region, said: “Anthony’s appointment to this new position again demonstrates Credit Suisse’s commitment to deliver the highest quality advisory services to its clients in the region.
