As a part of its CSR initiatives, Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DG&JG) had collected Dh2.5 million from the gold and jewellery fraternity and contributed to Dubai Cares to increase children’s access to quality primary education.
This fund was unitised for integrated programmes that eliminate the underlying obstacles, which prevent children from going to school and learning.
As a gesture of appreciation, Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, senior fund raising specialist of Dubai Cares, presented the memento to Sunny Chittilappilly, chairman, Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group. Chandu Siroya, vice-chairman; Abdul Salam, treasurer; Tomy Joseph, general manager, Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group, and Yasemin Saib, director fund raising, Dubai Cares, were also present on the occasion.
