“The department initiated an important programme to better interact with businessmen here and be aware of their needs,” said Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director-General of the Dubai General Department for Residency and Foreigners Affairs.

“The department does its best to ease investors’ and businessmen’s sufferings, and remove all obstacles that may hamper them in terms of entry and residency permits.”

Further in his briefing to Juma Al Majed, Chairman of Dubai Economic Council, and Abdullah Al Shaibani, Secretary- General of Dubai Executive Council, who were on a visit to the residency department on Saturday, Major General Merri said the department is keen on activating national participation in sustainable development here and enhancing co-operation with all departments in the interest of the public.

“The department wants to streamline investors’ stay in the country under the law of foreigners’ entry and residency,” he said.

Major General Merri said the department provides its customers with the latest electronic services in line with the extensive development of the country in all aspects of life.
