Emirates Post Releases Stamps

DUBAI — Emirates Post has issued commemorative stamps to celebrate the first production of Emirates Aluminium (EMAL) and the delivery of finished products to local and international clients.

The stamps, issued in denominations of AED 1, AED 2, AED 3 and AED 5, are available in all post offices in the UAE. First Day Covers, priced at AED 12, and Souvenir Sheets of AED 16 each, can be purchased at main post offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai (Karama and Deira).

The first set of stamps was presented to Saeed Fadhel Al Mazrooei, CEO of EMAL, by Salem Al Shaya, Assistant CEO of Emirates Post, at a special function held at Emirates Post head office in Dubai. Present on the occasion were Salman Dawood Abdulla, COO, EMAL, Yousuf Abdulla Bastaki, PD, EMAL, and senior officials from both organizations.

Speaking on the occasion, Salem Al Shaya said: “We are delighted to commemorate for posterity the achievement of Emirates Aluminium through these stamps on the occasion of starting its production. These stamps will proudly carry the message of UAE’s success in building the world’s largest single site aluminum smelter complex.We are proud that the aluminum produced by EMAL will be used by companies worldwide.
