Emirati-German Council Formed
ABU DHABI - The Emirati-German Joint Council for Industry and Trade, or AHK, has been formed to further boost the growing economic ties between the two nations.
UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri and his German counterpart Dr Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, inaugurated the AHK, at a ceremony in the capital on Saturday.
The Council is the first bilateral federal business organisation to be founded in the UAE.
The board of directors and the board of Trustees of the Council consist of prominent businessmen from both Germany and the UAE.
Yousef bin Omeir Yousef, Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is the first Chairman of the board of directors of the AHK.
