Etihad’s Treasury Team Wins Top Award

ABU DHABI — Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has been voted the airline with the region’s best treasury team by the Association of Corporate Treasurers Middle East, 
or ACTME.

ACTME is the regional arm of the Association of Corporate Treasurers — the international body for finance professionals working in treasury, risk and corporate finance.

The main objective of the ACTME is to develop the knowledge and expertise of its members across 
the region.

The awards are based upon a survey of the region’s financial professionals, who were asked to nominate their most admired treasury team, based on their achievements in 2009.

The awards ceremony was held on October 28 at the Madinat Jumeirah 
in Dubai.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline’s treasury team received nominations from a number of leading banks within the region. Etihad’s treasury team was praised for its professionalism, skills and knowledge across a number of fields; including capital structuring, handling of corporate deals for aircraft and engines orders and strong focus on cash and risk management.
