“This service substantially increases the weekend break proposition of Sir Bani Yas Island, which now become closer than ever to the Abu Dhabi and Dubai markets,” said Lee Tabler, CEO, Tourism Development and Investment Corporation.

The Dash-8 flight complements the Empire Aviation Cessna Caravan service to Sir Bani Yas Island, which was launched in January and operates every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The Cessna Caravan flight is a 50-minute panoramic journey between Abu Dhabi and the former Royal nature reserve. “The Cessna flight is a scenic experience which gives visitors an insight into why the Desert Islands will be a destination like no other as it flies over desert landscape, natural islands and beautiful sea,” added Tabler. Long known as a unique sanctuary of natural beauty, Sir Bani Yas Island is unlike any other destination in the Arabian Gulf. The Desert Islands destination comprises an onshore gate and eight islands.
