The UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Ali Saif Alawani and flydubai’s Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith travelled on the inaugural flight to Karachi, which landed at Jinnah International Airport on Monday morning.

“The ties between the UAE and Pakistan are already strong with bilateral trade worth more than $6 billion annually. Increasing the number of affordable, quality, direct air travel links between our countries will only serve to strengthen our relationship,” Ali Saif Alawani, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, said.

Flydubai CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said: “We’re delighted to start flights to Karachi today. It’s a very important route for us and one we’re looking forward to operating successfully for a long time to come.

Karachi, Pakistan’s main seaport, is one of the world’s largest cities in terms of population and is the financial centre of the country. It is home to Pakistan’s largest commercial corporations and is the heart of trade and industry for the country.

One way fares to Karachi from Dubai will cost from Dh300.
