Franklin Templeton Investments launches three new funds

DUBAI — Franklin Templeton Investments announced that it has launched three new funds — Franklin Gold and Precious Metals Fund, Templeton European Corporate Bond Fund, and Franklin Real Return Fund, all sub-funds of Franklin Templeton Investment Funds, or FTIF.

“We are delighted to bring these three new funds to our clients in the Gulf region which further enhances our product offering here, bringing the total number of FTIF funds currently offered to 67,” said Franklin Templeton Investments Managing Director for India and CEEMEA Vivek Kudva.

Gold and Precious Metals Fund

The FTIF Franklin Gold and Precious Metals Fund seeks to achieve capital appreciation by investing at least 80 per cent of its net assets in companies around the world that mine, process or deal in gold and other precious metals such as platinum, palladium and silver. The Fund’s secondary goal is to provide income for investors.

European Corporate Bond Fund

The FTIF Templeton European Corporate Bond Fund aims to maximise total investment return through a combination of interest income and capital appreciation, whilst being consistent with Franklin Templeton Fixed Income Group’s prudent investment management.

Real Return Fund

The ne FTIF Franklin Real Return Fund will seek to achieve total return that exceeds the US inflation rate over an economic cycle. It will generally invest a substantial portion of its assets in inflation-protected securities. The fund also has the flexibility to invest in other sectors of the bond and stock markets to increase real return potential and offer greater diversification to investors.

The fund’s management team seeks to add value through top-down economic analysis and bottom-up fundamental sector, security and issuer analysis.
