Global Oil Majors to Attend OGWA 2010 Expo

MUSCAT — Several leading companies from around the world have confirmed participation in the seventh Oil and Gas West Asia, or OGWA 2010, exhibition and conference here from April 11 to 13 next year, its organisers said.

These include Abraj Energy, Bahrain Petroleum, or BAPCO, Dolphin Energy, Emarat, Falcon Oilfield Services, Honghua Petroleum, Kudu, Lloyd’s Register, MB Petroleum, Mott MacDonald, OHI Petroleum, Oman Gas, Oman LNG, Oman Refineries & Petrochemicals, OOISS, OOSC, Oxy, Partex, Petroleum Development Oman, or PDO, PTTEP, Qatar Petroleum, Schlumberger, TOTAL, Vanguard, and Weatherford.The event, to be held under the patronage of Oman’s Ministry of Oil and Gas, will showcase the operations of major oil and gas firms “contributing to the continued development of the vibrant oil and gas industry in Oman and in the wider region,” C J Paul, General Manager of organisers Omanexpo said.

It will also feature the latest equipment, modern technologies, and professional services required in exploration and production activities. The accompanying technical conference will discuss best practices, market trends and challenges currently facing the industry.
