Despite the fact that pre-orders for Apple's highly-anticipated iPhone X sold out within minutes in several countries, the UAE's two telecom operators and several major local retailers, apparently, still have the device in stock on Sunday.
The iPhone X comes in two colours - silver and space grey - and two storage configurations, 64GB and 256GB.
As at Press time, etisalat has all models available on its website. Du, meanwhile, pre-bookings for its Personal service are closed, but both capacities in space grey are still available for Business customers.
Over at retailers, Sharaf DG has all options available except for the 64GB space grey version. Jacky's Electronics has only the silver 256GB option left, while Jumbo Electronics has no post of the iPhone X.
Some differences may be noticed to Sunday's activity compared to what Khaleej Times reported on Saturday. As of evening that day, only 64GB versions were left for pre-order at etisalat, while du had only the silver 256GB model both for Personal and Business. Sharaf DG had all models available then, while Jumbo already had its 'Pre-Order' button greyed out. Jacky's was unchanged.
On Apple's official UAE website, all options are still available. The delivery date of between five to six weeks stayed the same.
Apple late on Saturday dismissed concerns about the apparent lukewarm response to the iPhone X, claiming that pre-orders were 'off the charts'.
And despite the not-so-secret concern about limited supply, the tech giant also assured that stocks will be available in stores when the device officially goes on sale on November 3. The company is 'working hard' to get the device to its customers, it added.
