The new facility, which is 100,000 square feet in size, will produce over 5 million kilogrammes per year of the finest quality ingredients sourced from across the world. The facility is developed to cater to the demand for dry fruits and nuts in GCC, Africa, Asia and Levant countries.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Jean Marc Lourau, General Manager, Gyma Food Industries, said: “The demand for the dry fruits and nuts in the UAE will be steady from now, but we are expecting lot of growth from other GCC countries. We have already signed deals with big distributors in Qatar and Bahrain.” “We are also looking for joint ventures in the bigger markets like Saudi Arabia and Egypt,” he added.

Gyma has been present in the GCC region since 1992 and has widely established a strong standing in its segments. This facility is the first of its kind here. The company is positive that this venture will help further strengthen its presence in the region.

Gyma Food Industries is part of Gyma, a prominent French multinational group of companies, owned by Ducros family. Gyma leads the market in the category of dried fruits and nuts.
