ICCA ME appoints Al Qubaisi as chairperson

Abu Dhabi: Khalifa Al Qubaisi, head of sales- congresses & conferences, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company has been named chairperson of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA)-Middle East chapter for the next two years. Al Qubaisi becomes the first ever Emirati to assume the coveted position in the conferences and meetings sector since ICCA’s inception in 1963.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, acting group chief executive officer of Adnec, said: “Al Qubaisi’s appointment to this role demonstrates our commitment to increase the representation of UAE nationals in leadership positions of international organisations.”
