ICOM Elects Ferrari as President; Seven Others to Board

DUBAI - ICOM, a global network of independent ad and marketing agencies, has elected Rino Ferrari as President, and seven others to the board of directors for 2009.

Two members are elected to represent each of four geographic regions — Asia-Pacific, EMEA, Latin America and North America.

ICOM agencies are owned locally and work globally. Ikon Advertising and Marketing FZ LLC is the Middle East partner of ICOM.

Headquartered in Dubai Media City, Ikon has been operating for 17 years.

ICOM embraces 77 select agencies across 58 countries with over 2,500 clients and revenues exceeding more than $2 billion.

Ferrari, president of Rino Publicidade, Sao Paulo, was re-elected to a second yearlong term as president and ICOM regional director for Latin America.

New board member Mike Diccicco, Diccicco Battista Communications, Philadelphia, joins as an at-large director for North America. This year’s directors come from Taiwan, Thailand, Denmark, France, Brazil, El Salvador and the United States.

Others re-elected to serve include regional director for Asia-Pacific George Romanyk, creative in-house, Bangkok; director-at-large for Asia-Pacific Cindy Chang, United Communications Group, Taipei; EMEA regional director Patrick Walhain, Dassas Group, Paris; EMEA director-at-large Uffe Just, Just/Kidde, Copenhagen; Latin America director-at-large Juan Carlos Sandoval, Publinter, San Salvador; North America regional director Bob Morrison, the Morrison Agency, Atlanta.
