Country heads and representatives from the division attended the annual event held in Bahrain. Organised as a team building and motivational exercise, it demonstrated how to tap into personal strengths and create a positive business outlook. Motivational coach from the UAE, Carol Talbot, conducted a series of games and exercises intended to transform the team into a high performance cohesive unit. The highlight was a session during which participants were encouraged to break an arrow pointed against their throats through focus and concentration.

Tapan Vaidya, general manager of restaurant division, JBG Group, said: “Our restaurant division has built up a strong reputation for maintaining high standards of hospitality and service, well appreciated by both our customers and principals. The business climate in the GCC has shown dramatic improvement in the past months and I am very optimistic about achieving targets set for 2013. Forge Forward has become a much anticipated event when the Restaurant Division fires itself up and prepares for new challenges.”

Forge Forward 2013 ended on a challenging note with the roll out of a dynamic business plan for the year 2013 for the division’s operations covering the entire GCC market. The division runs over 100 restaurants in the region, including many renowned international brands like Papa John’s Pizza, Chili’s, Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Jamie’s Italian as well as their own in-house concepts such as Thai Express, Hakisushi and Magic Wok.
