Khalifa Chairs Supreme Petroleum Council Meeting

ABU DHABI - The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, chaired on Tuesday, a meeting of the Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC), at the Al Bateen Palace, in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The SPC reviewed the current developments in the oil market, and discussed a number of projects being carried out by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and its subsidiaries in Abu Dhabi.

The Supreme Petroleum Council expressed satisfaction over the progress of work in those projects.

The meeting also reviewed other topics on the agenda and took appropriate decisions on them with a view to strengthen the oil industry in the country and fortifying its position on the global level.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the board of trustees of Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, Shaikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chamberlain of the Crown Prince’s court and Chairman of Zonecorp, Shaikh Hamid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Department of Finance, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, and members of the Supreme Petroleum Council.
