Dubai: Labtec, a leader in laboratory furniture and a part of Dubai Investments subsidiary Masharie, is targeting aggressive expansion in the GCC, Asia, Africa and Russia, amidst escalating demand across the region and beyond.
Buoyed by the growth potential on offer, Labtec is looking at reinforcing its leadership with projects in newer markets. In a move that provides a major thrust to its expansion plans, Labtec has recently won a number of prestigious projects, including seven school laboratories in Qatar, besides a wide array of orders across Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
In the UAE, Labtec continues to build on its market leadership, having won a contract to provide laboratory furniture at the Ghayathi Community Hospital project. The ISO:9001 certified Labtec, which operates a 8,000sqm facility in Sharjah, achieved sales of Dh18 million in the last year, and aims to touch Dh23 million in 2014.
Labtec general manager Muhammad Tariq said: “There is a huge demand for high-quality laboratory furniture solutions and Labtec is targeting aggressive growth in new markets.”
