Lord Davies Tours DP World Head Office

DUBAI — Lord Davies of Abersoch, the British Minister for Trade, Investment and Small Business, visited the DP World head office on Wednesday. meeting with Mohammed Sharaf, DP World Chief Executive Officer and Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice-President and Managing Director of DP World, UAE Region.

Also attending were Edward Oakden, British Ambassador to the UAE, and Guy Warrington, the British Consul General 
in Dubai.

Lord Davies, who is leading a 70-strong SME business delegation on an official visit to the UAE, also toured Jebel Ali Port, DP World’s flagship facility.


Britain is the leading international investor in the UAE which is its largest trading partner in the Middle East. There are about 400 British-owned companies established in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, involved in a range of business activities from trading to manufacturing.
