The company said the creation of an office at the Dubai Airport freezone is part of its bigger plan to expand its market in the region by forging tie-ups with retail chains in the United Arab Emirates and all over the Gulf region. “Growth in cosmetics and perfumery business in this market has grown tremendously in the last couple of years, up to as much as 10 times in value and we have set up a regional office to take advantage of the fantastic growth and opportunities available in this market,” said Bashir Tahboub, Managing Director of PYD Middle East Distribution FZCO.

The Madrid-based company is seeking to generate additional revenue by tapping the Middle East market.

The group’s turnover last year was Dh552 million or $150 million.
