PMG Delivers First- Phase of Jumeirah Business Centre Towers

DUBAI — Project Management Group, or PMG, which specialises in project management, quantity surveying and cost management consultancy, has handed over the first phase of the Dh 1.1 billion Jumeirah Business Centre Towers, to its developers – Al Fajer Properties.

Jumeirah Business Centre Towers are five buildings located in Jumeirah Lake Towers, four of which are 39 stories while the fifth is 44.

Each tower sits on a 1,650 square metre plot – 8,250 square metres for all five plots – and the entire project has a total built up area is 297, 831 square metres.

PMG provided comprehensive services administrating all aspects of the project from tendering and appointing all consultants and contractors.

Part of PMG’s effort to cut back the costs of the project were to retender the project’s nominated subcontracts, which successfully trimmed down the final cost for each tower and resulted in a total savings of close to Dh 60 million for the client. PMG played a key role to ensure that all works were done in accordance with the contract specifications.

This was done through separate PMG teams coordinating with all parties involved in the project to resolve outstanding issues. PMG’s technical team ensured that proposed materials complied with the relevant authority’s requirements and project specifications, while the commercial team controlled project costs and PMG’s Senior Planning Engineers managed the programme of works to ensure the timely completion of the project.
