Hussein Mohammad Al Mahmoudi, Director General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, “Sharjah Spring Promotions 2009 is a part of the SCCI annual work programme. The festival aims to support the private sector by encouraging retail sales and creating a healthy competitive atmosphere between shopping centres and businesses.”
He revealed that 20 various events will be adopted for SSP 2009 through the cooperation of governmental departments, institutions and agencies. This partnership aims to encourage productive competition and innovation for the ultimate benefit of the public and Sharjah’s visitors.
He said, “It also takes advantage of the tourist season, when Sharjah and the UAE in general receive numerous tourists from different countries especially from the GCC. Finally, this event stimulates the trade sector by offering fresh and unique activities capable of attracting shoppers and visitors to the emirate.”
