Sharjah Voluntary Work Award for Al Habtoor

SHARJAH — His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has awarded Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group of Companies, the Sharjah Voluntary Work Award.

This is in recognition of the long-term contribution he has made to the community. “I am delighted and honoured to have received the Sharjah Voluntary Work Award. I hope this will further highlight the value of voluntary contributions to society,” said Al Habtoor. When asked about his inspiration for his voluntary work, Al Habtoor stated: “Our leaders in the UAE are great humanitarians, and we always endeavour to follow in their steps.”

Al Habtoor paid tribute to the Sharjah Ruler’s supreme efforts in encouraging the nation to be part of this important cause.

“His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi is a true inspiration, and his personal involvement in charities, support efforts, education and aid programmes are too numerous to mention. I wish to express my sincere gratitude at being recognised in this way, particularly by such an eminent figure as His Highness.”

Al Habtoor also mentioned his admiration for the renowned humanitarian work of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and late Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.Well-known for his support of charities and humanitarian causes, Al Habtoor has contributed to various areas of society.
