Sohar Plaza Nearing Completion

MUSCAT — The Batinah region’s largest shopping mall is nearing completion in Sohar, Oman’s fast expanding heavy industrial city. ‘Sohar Plaza’, set up by the Jawad Sultan Group and boasting state-of-the-art multiplex cinemas, food courts and upscale shopping outlets, will be opened next month.

Located on Al Waqaibah Street, the new mall, with a built up area of 5,200 square metres, hosts a multiplex comprising four cinema screens with a total capacity of 860 seats and digital projection capabilities, the first of its kind in Sohar.

“Sohar Plaza is the one of the finest development projects of our group that provides both leisure and entertainment at a single stop,” Aqeel Jawad Sultan, Group Managing Director of the Jawad Sultan Group of Companies, said.

The ground level of the mall will feature 12 exclusive stores of popular brands.
