“Due to unprecedented demand at the 2008 summit, we split our solar session in two for 2009, Solar PV and Thermal,” said Richard Hease, event Director for WFES09. “Not only are they a great source of commercial knowledge but also a great way to meet business partners.”

Five of the top 10 Solar PV cell giants who account for 40 per cent of the market’s global production, will be exhibiting at the summit.

They are Sharp, Kayo’s, Suntech, Sanyo and Mitsubishi, alongside US major league players, Applied Materials and Sunpower.

Power plants and markets will be top of the solar thermal agenda on January 20 with eight experts presenting engineering, design, construction, financing models, technology and supply chains on the largest solar thermal power plants and newest technologies in the world.
