Star Satellite Communications is the commercial arm of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company, or Yahsat, which in turn is a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company, or Mubadala.

The high-speed Internet facility will be made accessible to both home users and enterprises in the countries in the region through the YahClick services of Y1B, which is the Yashsat’s second satellite to be launched in the second half of 2011.

Shortly after the launch of the satellite, the service will be offered through service partners operating in the coverage area.

ViaSat Inc will provide the SurfBeam® 2 network infrastructure, operations and maintenance services for YahClick to provide the high speed Internet connection. The ViaSat SurfBeam® Broadband System is a totally new kind of satellite-based system designed expressly for building broadband access networks.
