Toshiba Opens First Flagship Store in ME

DUBAI - Toshiba on Monday opened its first flagship store in the Middle East at Dubai Festival City in partnership with its sole distributor in the UAE Al Futtaim Electronics.

“The opening of Toshiba’s first flagship store in the Middle East further underscores our commitment to innovation and offers our valued customers the latest technologies and products from the brand they have always trusted,“ saidYasuyoshi Matsunaga, President of Toshiba Gulf.

The store carries a selection from the Toshiba product portfolio ranging from televisions, laptops, projectors, DVD players, PC options and peripherals. Customers will be able to browse through the latest Toshiba technology on offer in a unique, specialised outlet, said Santosh Varghese, Regional General Manager, Computer Systems Division, Toshiba Gulf.

The new Toshiba store marks a milestone in the four-decade history of Toshiba’s involvement in the region and attests to the success of Toshiba since it first began business in the Middle East in 1963. “Toshiba’s affiliation with the Middle East is tried and tested. The Toshiba store opening reinforces our regional business and strengthens our market reach,“ said Pieter Ickx, Vice President for Toshiba Emerging Markets. “The flagship store is a testament to Toshiba’s excellence in technology, products, systems and services.“

Vishesh Bhatia, Group Director – Electronics, Engineering & Technologies, Al-Futtaim said the wonderful experience of working together all these years has cemented a strong relationship between Al-Futtaim and Toshiba.
