Designed to foster the latest top class travel and tourism education among travel agents, Travel Agent’s Day combines skills, learning, product knowledge and great competitions.

The new-look format will also afford destinations an opportunity to showcase their brand to the regional and international industry in a dedicated show- floor theatre, according to the Reed Travel Exhibitions, the company behind the event.

Simon Press, Arabian Travel Market’s Exhibition Director said, “We had over 3,000 agents through the door for the inaugural Travel Agents Day and the feedback from both attendees and exhibitors was extremely positive. We are repeating the event in 2009 and hope to welcome and provide even more industry figures with an invaluable tool with which to increase their knowledge of, and contacts within, the region.”

“Given the uncertain economic conditions facing our industry, it is more imperative than ever that destinations are doing their utmost to communicate their unique selling points to travel agents. Arabian Travel Market is all about providing a knowledge platform for all corners of the travel and tourism sector to discuss and develop. No initiative conveys this vision more than Travel Agents Day,” he maintained.

Also returning to Arabian Travel Market 2009 will be the Travel Agents Day Passport scheme.

Instigated to provide “fun competitiveness”, travel agents are provided with a mock passport and can win prizes by visiting exhibitor’s stands and answering questions.

The day will culminate with an award presentation on the Travel Agents Stage.
