Essa Kazim, governor of Dubai International Financial Centre, or DIFC, welcomed a high-profile Sri Lankan delegation led by Finance Minister, Ravi Karunanayake. The discussions held as part of the visit sought to reinforce business ties and investment relations between the island nation and Dubai.
As part of the knowledge sharing session, the DIFC team provided an overview of the centre's value proposition, and showcased the unique dynamics of Dubai's financial services industry.
Kazim said: "The visit of the Sri Lankan delegation served as a constructive platform to share our expertise in the financial, regulatory and legal practice domains. The meeting also offered us an opportunity to articulate our mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral synergies and promoting investments in the MEASA region for the benefit of our two countries and business communities."
The delegation's visit concluded with a tour of Dubai International Financial Centre, which offered insights into the operations of the financial hub and a glimpse of Dubai's vibrant business community.
