UAE leads GCC newspaper advertising

DUBAI — The UAE leads the GCC in newspaper advertising space at 32.7 per cent in 2009, according to the IPSOS Media Index Data 2009.

Advertising expenditure in the country hit Dh1.5 billion, and forecasts suggest that there would be a compounded annual growth rate of 11 per cent until 2013. With new avenues being explored in the Middle East, the sixth edition of the Media and Marketing Show, or MMS, 2010, a networking and educational resource platform for media and marketing professionals, will set the stage for much debate and discussion.
