UAE, Mauritius discuss trade, investment

The two sides reviewed issues of mutual interest and ways to boost cooperation in investment and trade. They also discussed the upcoming visit of Minister of Labour and Industrial Relations of Mauritius, Shakeel Ahmed Yousuf Abdul Razack Mohamed, to the UAE next March.

Ukraine keen to boost trade ties with UAE

Director of Economic Affairs and International Cooperation at the Foreign Ministry, Jassem Mohammed Al Qasimi received Alexander Banksy, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian side expressed his country’s desire to establish business councils and joint committees between the two countries in order to promote opportunities for economic cooperation in all fields.

UAE’s excellence affirmed

Shaikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority (RAKFTZ), has emphasized state’s excellence in organising international exhibitions, like Idex 2013, indicating its strong ability to hold such global events in the defence field.

He added that this constitutes an important opportunity for attracting major international companies to invest in UAE, thanks to the transparent policies of the free market.

Spain to boost trade, defence partnerships

Spanish Defence Minister Pedro Morenes said that Idex 2013 has given an opportunity to strengthen presence in the Gulf particularly the UAE market.

“Spain participation in the exhibition reflects the distinguished friendly relations with the UAE and keenness of the two countries to consolidate and develop these ties in various political, economic and defence fields,” he stated.
