“The birth of the ‘Arash AF-10’ marks a significant landmark in supercar manufacturing in terms of design, power and speed,” said Arash Farboud, chairman and chief executive officer of Arash Motor Company.

“We are confident that our inaugural offering will be one of the most coveted supercars in the world, admired and desired by luxury vehicle buyers and enthusiasts in the region.”

For the grand rollout, Arash wil partner with its distributor in the region, Ultimate Motors.

The Arash AF-10 supercar is already making heads turn at the ongoing 2009 Dubai International Motor Show.

Arash AF-10 is a sleek 7-litre engine that produces a power output of approximately 550 brake horsepower, and can roar at the top speed of 330 kilometers per hour or 205 miles per hour, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.4 seconds.

For car afficianados, the ‘Arash AF-10’ packs a full carbon and steel frame chassis, steel front and rear crash structures and cradles. The all-aluminium, hand-assembled V8 engine by General Motors for the Arash AF-10, uses titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, and a crankshaft that produces exceptional power from a lightweight unit.

The package also includes a radical front wing — signature of the Arash car family — that is separated from the main front body clam and strong air intake side pods, giving the overall aerodynamic package for high speed stability and low speed grip.

Ultimate Motors said that ownership of ‘Arash AF-10’ is very exclusive, with only an estimated 25 cars to be manufactured.

The sports car look is also achieved with a patented modular carbon chassis, wide wheel track and super long front wishbones, which are hand-made and nickel-coated to prevent corrosion and allow visibility of any cracks from wear and damage.

A lightweight at 1,260 kilogrammes but with built-in stiffness advantages, the ‘Arash AF-10’ features a body made of carbon fibre with Honeycomb and Nomex sandwiches, and 6-speed gearbox from Grazianno Trasmissioni. In addition, all uprights have been internally designed to fit AP Racing 6-pot carbon ceramic discs and callipers, while floor mounted pedals offer a racing feel, better ‘heel and toe’ control and good foot spacing in the drivers area.

“The sheer power of the ‘Arash AF-10’ exemplifies the passion we reserve only for best-of-breed supercars, and we are revved up to see this tremendous automobile zooming into the region. We are anticipating a surge in interest for this supercar in the days following its debut,” said Nasser Al Hai, president of Ultimate Motors.
