Dubai: Al Kamal American School, Sharjah, defeated Al Shoala School, Sharjah, 3-1 in the final to be crowned champions at the First Stars of Tomorrow Football League.
The 16 qualifying teams from across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah battled for the Stars of Tomorrow cup during the second phase of the league at the Dubai Mall ice rink. Powered by Axiom and Ahdaaf, the Stars of Tomorrow Football tournament offered opportunity for the youth to gain nation-wide recognition, and receive support towards becoming professional football players in the UAE in a healthy competitive environment.
“At Axiom, we are eager to find the leaders of tomorrow through all walks of life,” said Faisal Al Bannai, CEO, Axiom. “The passion and skill we observed during the second phase of league illustrated the great potential of today’s youth in becoming athletic ambassadors of the UAE.”
“It was great seeing Stars of Tomorrow, a concept we built at Ahdaaf, finally come to life and being the first pan Emirates football league in the UAE joining both public and private schools in one competition,” said Anas Bukhash, managing partner, Ahdaaf Sports Club.
The 16 finalists were selected from 36 schools from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah during the first phase of the tournament that took place in April.
