Dubai: Al Sadiq Islamic English School, Dubai, put up a superb performance to down two-time defending champions Delhi Private School, Dubai, by 35 runs to win the Al Sadiq ASICS Inter-schools Under-10 cricket title at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The decision to bat first proved a master stroke as the Al Sadiq batting spearheaded by Muhammad Fahad adapted well to the natural turf conditions.

Fahad top scored with a fluent 32 while Ahmed Zeeshan contributed with 17 to help Al Sadiq post a challenging 96-4 in 15 overs.

In reply, the reliable DPS batting failed to keep with the tempo of scoring against some tight bowling and fielding by the Al Sadiq lads. In the end despite having six wickets in hand, DPS could barely manage to score 61 runs at the end of the quota of 15 overs. Sanchit Rao’s top scored with 23 runs while Tanish Suri scored 17.
