Dubai Kartdrome hosted the third round of the 2014 SWS Sprint Cup on Monday, 2 March, featuring some of the country’s top leisure kart drivers who once again delivered racing of the highest standard.
In the first race Ali Al Mansoori turned sixth place into a great win with Piers Pakenham Walsh chasing him all race long, but forced to settle for second by only 0.453 of a second, with Azzam tucked behind in the slipstream to take third. Hussain Umid Ali fought off a spirited challenge to finish fourth, ahead of Craig Shenton and Paul Chatenay who were fifth and sixth respectively.
Earlier in the evening young Alex Connor dominated the SWS Junior Cup races, winning both with ease and unchallenged, his fastest lap on the day almost a full second quicker than his closest rival.
