Looking to secure a place in a pro-am field that will feature the likes of World No.1 Rory McIlroy, reigning Race to Dubai Champion Luke Donald and Ryder Cup hero Martin Kaymer are 21 qualifiers plus Mohamed Darwish and Mohammed Al Musharrekh from the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF).

The 21 qualifiers have all made their way to the grand final of the Luckiest Ball on Earth competition — supported by the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) – having won events staged by nineteen EGF-affiliated clubs across the UAE.

With the Earth course currently closed for overseeding prior to the $8 million DP World Tour Championship to be staged from Novemebr 22-25, its sister course Fire will host the Luckiest Ball on Earth Grand Final. But Earth will be in full championship mode when the Rolex Pro-Am acts as the tournament curtain raiser on 20 November.

“The Luckiest Ball on Earth initiative has proved to be an outstanding success since it was introduced last season and we thank all the participating clubs and the Emirates Golf Federation for their support as well as Jumeirah Golf Estates for hosting the Grand Final,” said Nick Tarratt, European Tour International Director, Dubai Office.

“The players know they are potentially just one great round away from playing in the final Pro-Am in The Race to Dubai so on behalf of the DP World Tour Championship and The Race to Dubai, we wish every player the very best of luck in the final.”

The Luckiest Ball on Earth Grand Final tees off at 12.30pm today just one month before Jumeirah Golf Estates hosts the top 60 players on The Race to Dubai with $8 million in prize money on offer as well as a Bonus Pool of $3.75 million to be shared by the final top ten in The Race to Dubai.
