Amateur golfers in the UAE will have their sights set on a place in the Rolex Pro-Am at the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai when the first event in the tournament’s ‘Luckiest Ball on Earth’ competition kicks off at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club on Saturday.

Throughout September, 21 qualifying events at UAE golf clubs affiliated to the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) will take place in an initiative that offers the overall winner the chance to play alongside one of the top 60 players on The European Tour.

- September 8: Saadiyat Beach Golf Club (Rosewood monthly medal)
- September 14: The Address Montgomerie Dubai (monthly medal), Al Ain Equestrian Shooting and Golf Club (monthly medal), Al Hamra Golf Club (monthly medal)
- September 15: Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa (qualifier)
- September 21: Sharjah Wanderers Golf Club (monthly medal), Al Ghazal Golf Club (monthly medal), Emirates Golf Club (men’s qualifier), Abu Dhabi Golf Club (gents’ September medal)
- September 22: The Els Club (members’ major).
- September 24: Emirates Golf Club (ladies’ qualifier)
- September 25: Abu Dhabi Golf Club (ladies’ September medal)
- September 28: Jumeirah Golf Estates (monthly medal), Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club (monthly Stableford); Tower Links Golf Club (monthly medal)
- September 29: Abu Dhabi City Golf Club (monthly medal).
