Kindergarten Starters and Dubai Scholars advanced to the semifinals of the 4th Al Sadiq Inter School U-10 Cricket Tournament at the Al Sadiq ground on Sunday.
The YTCA-Sama Sports tournament is organised by Al Sadiq Islamic English School, Dubai under the umbrella of the Sharjah Cricket Council. Support sponsors include, Arab Beverages, Crispo Food Company FZC, Al Ain Food and Beverages, IFFCO Distribution and Falaknaz Sports.
In the Kindergarten-IHS quarterfinals, IHS decision to bat first backfired as they managed a paltry 54 for 5 in 12 overs. Kindergarten's Dhiren claimed three wickets for 20 runs in his three overs. In reply, Juswin's unbeaten 15-ball 24 steered Kindergarten to 55 runs without losing a wicket.
In the other quarterfinals, Dubai Scholars, who were put into bat first after Progressive School won the toss, scored 84 for 3 in 12 overs. Man of the match Ahmed tops cored with 24 off just 17 balls.
In reply Progressive School were restricted to 66 for six wickets. Dubai Scholars Aysar took two wickets for seven runs in his three overs.
